Questions

The ones people actually ask.

How accurate are the calories?

Calo estimates from how a food is usually made. Every ingredient stays editable, and entries checked against public nutrition data carry a verified mark.

Do I have to log training too?

No. Log only meals if that suits you. Sessions sit in the same log the moment you want them.

Is my data private?

Yes. We never sell your data to anyone, and we never hand it to advertisers — calog carries no advertising at all, so there is nothing to sell it for. Your meals, sessions and profile are stored encrypted (AES-256) on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, and you can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app.

What does it cost?

Logging, AI breakdowns and the whole library are free with a daily allowance — 15 meal logs, 30 photo analyses and 10 sport sessions a day, plus unlimited barcode scanning. Premium is €29.99 a year and takes the caps off. Full breakdown on the pricing page.

Which languages does it work in?

Dozens. People log in their own words across 124 countries.

Does it work with Apple Health?

Yes. Steps, active energy and distance sync in, and recorded workouts show up next to your meals.

How do I cancel Premium?

In your Apple ID subscription settings, any time. The plan keeps running until the period ends.

Who is calog for?

Anyone tracking food, training or both — log only meals, only sessions, or both. You need to be 18 or have a guardian’s consent, as set out in our Terms of Service.
